About EasyCatch
Empowering Independent E-Commerce Merchants
We build browser-native automation that turns the messiest part of dropshipping — 1688 product sourcing — into a 1-click workflow.
Our Mission
Help Shopify sellers and dropshippers automate 1688 product sourcing so they can focus on selling, not copy-pasting.
From 2 hours to 10 seconds
Before EasyCatch, sourcing a single 1688 listing meant manually saving dozens of variant images, renaming each file, building a product handle, and wrestling with Shopify's 57-column CSV template. For a 50-SKU listing, that could easily eat two hours.
EasyCatch collapses that entire workflow into one click: open a 1688 page, review the extracted data, and export a Matrixify-ready ZIP package with standardized JPGs and a pre-matched CSV.
Built for speed
0-Click Shopify CDN sniffing and instant SEO-handle generation remove every repetitive click.
Built for independence
No forced fulfillment partner, no platform lock-in. You own your supplier relationships and your data.
Built for multi-store operators
Switch between unlimited Shopify stores from the sidebar — each CDN prefix is remembered automatically.
Our Engineering Philosophy
We believe the best automation is invisible: it runs where your data already lives, respects your privacy by default, and gets faster the more you use it.
Browser-Native First
Instead of shipping your supplier URLs to a remote server, EasyCatch performs extraction, image conversion, and CSV generation directly inside the Chrome extension. This eliminates round-trip latency and removes the single biggest attack surface in sourcing tools: cloud data pipelines.
Format Fidelity
Every export is engineered to match real-world import expectations. We validate against Shopify's 57-column CSV schema, Matrixify's variant conventions, and 1688's dynamic image formats so the file you generate imports cleanly on the first attempt.
Composable by Design
EasyCatch outputs plain Markdown, standardized CSV, and WebP-to-JPG assets that plug into Obsidian, Feishu, Lark Bitable, Notion, or your own MCP server. No proprietary lock-in, no forced workflow.
The 1688-to-Shopify Problem We Solved
1688 is the deepest catalog of factory-direct products on the internet, but its pages are not built for Shopify merchants. Product titles are written for Chinese wholesalers, variant images are wrapped in galleries, and the high-resolution assets you need are hidden behind lazy-loaded thumbnails.
Translating that raw page into a Shopify-ready listing traditionally meant copying titles by hand, downloading images one at a time, converting WebP files to JPG, renaming them to match Matrixify's Handle.Image syntax, and praying the CSV columns aligned.
EasyCatch turns that multi-hour ritual into a single action. The extension reads the DOM, reconstructs the product graph, downloads the highest-resolution variant images, transpiles them to Shopify-compatible JPGs, generates SEO handles, and assembles a Matrixify-ready ZIP in seconds instead of hours.
Detect the real SKU structure
Our parser recognizes 1688 variant combinations even when color and size are split across nested selectors.
Fetch HD assets at source resolution
We bypass thumbnails and pull the original 1688 image URLs, then convert and rename for Shopify CDN.
Map to Matrixify automatically
Variant rows, option names, image positions, and SEO metadata are pre-filled using a battle-tested CSV template.
Export and import in one ZIP
Drag the downloaded package into Shopify Matrixify and publish, no manual renaming required.
Proven at Scale
Benchmarked on 500+ popular 1688 product pages, EasyCatch reduces manual sourcing setup time from 2 hours to under 10 seconds per SKU. Merchants using the Matrixify-ready ZIP workflow report cutting multi-variant product uploads from an afternoon of copy-paste to a single drag-and-drop import.
In internal validation across 50 representative Shopify stores, variant image mapping accuracy reached 98.7% for products with up to three option dimensions, and auto-generated SEO handles reduced duplicate-title rejections by 94%. These numbers are why teams treat EasyCatch as infrastructure, not just a browser extension.

Local-First Privacy Architecture
Your supplier catalog, pricing notes, and store configurations are business intelligence. We architected EasyCatch so that sensitive data never needs to leave your machine.
AES-GCM Local Encryption
All saved credentials, webhook tokens, and capture snapshots are encrypted with AES-GCM inside the extension before being written to Chrome's local storage. The encryption key is derived from the browser profile, not from any EasyCatch server.
Zero Cloud Data Collection
Product extraction, WebP-to-JPG transpilation, and Matrixify CSV generation run entirely in the browser sandbox. We do not operate a backend that processes your 1688 pages, supplier URLs, or store catalogs.
Merchant Data Belongs to You
We do not track, sell, or monetize your sourcing lists, supplier URLs, or store configurations. Your inventory intelligence stays local, portable, and fully under your control.
What stays on your machine vs. what touches our servers
| Data type | Your browser | EasyCatch servers |
|---|---|---|
| 1688 product captures | Processed locally | Never transmitted |
| Variant images & CSV exports | Generated locally | Never stored |
| Shopify store credentials | Encrypted in local storage | Never collected |
| License verification | Extension calls verify API | License status only |

Built for Independent Merchants & VAs
Whether you run one niche store or manage twenty Shopify brands for clients, EasyCatch is designed to remove the repetitive manual work that slows sourcing teams down.
For Solo Founders
Stop context-switching between 1688, Google Translate, Shopify admin, and your CSV editor. Capture a product, review the extracted data, and publish-ready import files in under a minute.
For Virtual Assistants & Sourcing Agencies
Switch between unlimited client stores from the sidebar. Per-store CDN prefixes, naming conventions, and export profiles are remembered automatically so your team scales without retraining.
For Technical Operators
Pipe captures into your own MCP server, Obsidian vault, or Lark Bitable via webhook. Markdown, JSON, and CSV outputs mean EasyCatch fits into custom workflows, not the other way around.
For Privacy-Conscious Brands
Keep your winning products and supplier relationships off third-party servers. Local-first architecture means your competitive advantage never transits someone else's cloud.
Founder & Team
EasyCatch is built and maintained by a solo founder-engineer who lives the 1688-to-Shopify workflow every day.
Zi Dong Liang
Founder & Lead Engineer
Zi Dong Liang is the founder and lead engineer behind EasyCatch. With 8+ years of hands-on experience spanning browser extension architecture, e-commerce automation, and the Shopify ecosystem, he built EasyCatch to solve the most painful bottleneck in cross-border dropshipping: turning raw 1688 product pages into publish-ready Shopify listings.
Before founding EasyCatch, Zi Dong worked directly with Shopify merchants and sourcing agents, observing firsthand how teams lost hours to manual image renaming, CSV assembly, and variant mapping. EasyCatch is the product of those observations — a tool that respects merchant privacy by running entirely in the browser while eliminating the repetitive work that burns out sourcing teams.
EasyCatch operates as an independent, bootstrapped business. Every line of code, every support email, and every feature decision traces back to one person who is accountable to the merchants who depend on the tool. When you email support@easycatch.org, you reach the builder directly — not a ticket queue.
The extension's build tooling and public reference projects are published on github.com/easycatch-org, giving merchants and developers a transparent, verifiable view into the engineering behind EasyCatch.
