EasyCatch ("the Extension") is a productivity tool built with a Privacy-First architecture. We do not operate any backend servers to store or monitor your web content.
1. Data Collection & Processing
Local Processing: All web content extraction (Markdown conversion) is performed locally on your device. We do NOT collect, track, or store your browsing history.
No Centralized Storage: Your "caught" content is never sent to EasyCatch servers. Data only leaves your browser when you explicitly choose to sync it to your authorized third-party accounts.
2. Third-Party Service Integration
EasyCatch provides optional sync features to third-party platforms. When used:
- Feishu/Lark: Data is sent directly to Feishu/Lark APIs using your provided access tokens.
- Obsidian: Data is sent to your local machine (127.0.0.1) via the Obsidian Local REST API.
- Webhooks: Data is sent to the specific URL you configure.
Security: We do not have access to your API keys, tokens, or the content of the data being synchronized.
3. Permissions Usage
- Side Panel: To provide a persistent UI for organizing data across multiple tabs.
- Scripting / activeTab: Used strictly to extract the text content of the page the user is currently viewing.
- Storage: Your API keys and configurations are stored using
chrome.storage.local(encrypted on your device) orchrome.storage.sync(managed by your Google Account).
4. Zero Data Monetization
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to any third parties. We are not an advertising-supported service.
